Biking around town
Cruise around Whanga.
Most of Whangamatā is wonderfully flat, making it perfect for exploring on two (or four!) wheels. Pedal along quiet streets, stop for an ice cream, and roll between the beach, parks, and shops with ease. It’s a relaxed, fun way to see the town — no hills, no stress, just simple holiday riding at your own pace.
No room for bikes? No worries.
Is your car packed to the brim with holiday gear? Can’t squeeze the bikes in? Don’t worry — you can hire them right here in Whangamatā. Cruise the beachfront on a comfy cruiser, zip around town on an e-bike, or load up the family on a quirky four-wheel “croc bike” for some shared laughs.
However you roll, there’s an easy way to get moving. Grab a bike and start exploring!
